About Us

The One Stop Nature Shop – More than just a shop

The One Stop Nature Shop story began in November 2011, the joining of two childhood friends who had a different vision for how customer experience should be.

The vision of these two friends, Richard Campey and Bob Town, was to offer an experience which was more than just a binocular shop.

Of course, we do have a lot of binoculars, over 100 different models in fact, but with a huge range of spotting scopes, microscopes (including the largest retail display in Europe), magnifiers, trail cameras, bat detectors, moth traps, books, bird feeders, and bird food we are far more than just another binocular shop.

Perhaps our most aspect is that every member of staff loves birds. With a combined 125 years experience of watching birds and using optics we give unbiased, genuine advice when it comes to your next purchase. As lovers of the natural world we are also happy to just have a chat about wildlife. We want the customer to feel no pressure as they explore the amazing items we have put together in our Norfolk showroom.

Whether you want a £2.50 bag of bird food or the latest high end binocular, we take time and care to make sure you get the right item for your needs. Our combined passion for wildlife and exceptional customer service mean that you can feel confident that you are getting the right advice.

Read on to find out more about what makes The One Stop Nature Shop the best place in Norfolk to buy your next binocular.

Expert advice and guidance with zero pressure

As we mentioned above, we LOVE wildlife. We also love giving our customers unbiased and honest guidance when it comes to the purchase of their next binocular.

We are a completely independent store with no direct links or partnerships with any of the major optical companies. This means we have a great range, including Swarovski, Zeiss, Leica, Opticron, Hawke, Viking, Kite, Kowa, and GPO. We are also proud to have launched our own brand of binoculars, East Coast Optics.

Our approach is a laid back one. We want customers to take their time and to not feel rushed. We will always give you the best value binoculars at a budget you are comfortable with. We have our own bird feeder outside the shop which has regular visits from a number of species and this is the perfect place to try out a new pair of binoculars.

So whether its £50 or £2000 you can rest assured you are getting the best advice and a relaxing environment to make your purchase. We also offer a competitive part exchange and commission sale service so that, one day, you feel confident that you will get the best price for your current optics when you upgrade them for a new pair.

How to find us in the heart of the North Norfolk coast

We are incredibly fortunate to be situated in the lovely village of Burnham Deepdale, right in the heart of the North Norfolk coast. We have wonderful walks on our door step and our base of Dalegate Market has a great range of shops, a petrol station, and a great cafe for you to visit.

Below we have outlined how to find us.

Address: The One Stop Nature Shop, 9 Dalegate Market, Burnham Deepdale, Norfolk, PE31 8FB

Directions from Hunstanton: From Hunstanton town centre follow the A149 east along the beautiful North Norfolk coast. After 8 miles you will enter the village of Brancaster Staithe. Continue for just under a mile and you will see Dalegate Market on the right hand side. Look out for our sign!

Directions from Wells-next-the-sea:
From Wells-next-the-sea town centre follow the A149 west past the stunning Holkham Marshes. After 7 miles you will enter the village of Burnham Deepdale. Continue past a church on the right hand side and you will see Dalegate Market on your left. Look out for the Nisa petrol station, we are next door.

Directions from Fakenham: From Fakenham head towards King’s Lynn on the A148, before taking a right after 1/2 a mile signposted Burnham Market B1355. Follow this road through South Creake and North Creake until you reach Burnham Market after 9 miles, where you will reach an obvious T junction with The Nelson Country House on your right.

Turn right here then after 100 yards turn left, signposted Brancaster and Hunstanton. There is a large church on your left hand side. Continue on this road, still the B1355, for 1/2 a mile until you reach the A149. Continue west on the A149 for 2 miles. Continue past a church on the right hand side and you will see Dalegate Market on your left. Look out for the Nisa petrol station, we are next door.
